Started in 2003 out of a single truck. Today we run six. The thing that hasn't changed in 22 years: we do the job right the first time, and we stand behind it.
Dave Henrickson started Cedar Crossing Plumbing in 2003 after fifteen years working for one of the big regional chains. He kept running into the same problem: good plumbers stuck inside a commission structure that pushed them to upsell customers on stuff they didn't need. So he left, bought a truck, and started taking calls.
Two decades later, the company runs six trucks and employs eight full-time licensed plumbers. Dave still answers the phone most mornings. His son Tyler came on as a journeyman in 2018 and passed his master exam last spring. His daughter Rachel runs the office and keeps the schedule honest.
Plumbing isn't mysterious. If we explain what's wrong and what it costs to fix it, most customers can make a smart decision about what to do next. We don't use fear tactics. We don't pressure you into financing. And we don't have a "platinum service plan" we're trying to sell you.
Our job is to fix your plumbing problem for a fair price and leave. Most of our work comes from people we already helped once who called us back, or their neighbors who heard about us. That's the whole business model.
Every person who shows up at your house in one of our trucks is a licensed journeyman or master plumber. We don't send apprentices or helpers out on solo calls. We carry full general liability and workers' comp insurance - happy to send the certificates to any property manager or HOA that asks.

If we ever break one of these, we want you to call Dave directly and tell him. His number is on every invoice.
You hear the full price before we start. If we hit something unexpected, we stop and call you. No surprise add-ons on the invoice.
Every truck carries a licensed journeyman or master plumber. No solo apprentices, no commission-paid techs pushing upsells.
Not four-hour windows. Not "sometime today." If we're running late, we call you - we don't hide behind a dispatcher.
Parts and labor, one year. Water heaters get the manufacturer warranty plus our install warranty stacked on top.
During business hours it's Rachel in the office. After hours it's the on-call plumber's cell phone. No phone trees, no offshore dispatchers.
Drop cloths on your floors, shoe covers on the carpet, debris hauled off in the truck. Your house looks the way we found it.
From one truck and a cell phone to six trucks, eight plumbers, and 3,400+ jobs. The company has grown, but how we do the work hasn't changed much.
Dave left a regional chain after 15 years and bought a used service van. First customer was a neighbor with a leaking water heater. Cash job. Still sends Dave Christmas cards.
Business grew enough during the recession (when the big chains were laying off) that Dave hired his first journeyman. That guy still works with us - he runs our commercial route.
Outgrew the garage. Bought the building on W Industrial Way and fit it out with a real parts inventory, a training bay for apprentices, and enough bays for three trucks.
Dave's son came on as a full-time apprentice after finishing trade school. Passed his journeyman exam in 2021, master exam in 2025. Now handles most of our repipes.
Added three more trucks over 18 months to keep up with demand. Started the apprentice program to train our own people instead of constantly recruiting.
Passed the 3,400 mark earlier this year. Still family-owned. Still answering our own phone. Still licensed under the same master plumber number we started with.
When you run a plumbing business in the same town for 22 years, you show up to more than just service calls. We sponsor two Little League teams every spring. We donate hot water heater installs once a year to a family through the Cedar Crossing Habitat for Humanity chapter. We send a few guys to help with the food bank's annual fundraiser.
None of it is marketing. We don't put it on the trucks. But if you ask why a plumber in Cedar Crossing has 247 Google reviews and a 4.9 average, part of the answer is that the people writing those reviews are neighbors - literally. We've worked on most of the houses within five miles of the shop at least once.

Call during business hours and Rachel will pick up. Call after hours and you'll get whichever plumber is on call that night. That's the whole dispatch system.
