🔨 Website Design for Contractors

Your old site is
costing you jobs.
Let's fix that.

I build websites for contractors — plumbers, HVAC, roofers, painters, and anyone else who does good work and needs their phone to ring. Hand-coded, not WordPress. Fast, not bloated. Built to show up on Google, not just look decent.

Your site goes live in about a week. Then I spend the next 6 months making sure it's actually working. You own it fully, whether you stay or go.

😬
"My site is old and embarrassing." Customers are clicking through and bouncing. A slow, outdated site is actively working against you.
🤔
"I was thinking about just using Wix." Wix sites load slow, rank poorly, and look generic. You'll spend more time fiddling with it than it's worth.
💸
"I'm paying HomeAdvisor for every lead." You're renting customers instead of owning them. A site that ranks means calls you don't pay for, forever.

Most contractor sites
don't actually do anything.

They look fine, maybe. But they load slow, they're not built in a way Google understands, and they were probably made in WordPress by someone who's moved on and isn't maintaining them anymore. The result: you're invisible when someone nearby searches for what you do.

The old WordPress site for SS Drywall Repair scored 37/100 on Google's speed test. It ranked for nothing. Roland had been in business 15 years with 115 five-star reviews and still had to pay HomeAdvisor for every single lead. That's the problem a bad site creates.

🐌

Slow load time kills your ranking

Google uses page speed as a ranking factor. A WordPress site with a few plugins can easily score 30–50/100. That alone can keep you off the first page.

🔍

Built wrong for search

Google needs to understand what you do and where you do it. Most sites aren't structured to send those signals clearly — so Google guesses, and guesses wrong.

📱

Looks bad on phones

Over 70% of local searches happen on mobile. If your site is hard to read or use on a phone, the person closes it and calls your competitor.

Typical site vs. what we build
Page Speed (Lighthouse) 37 vs. 88+
SEO Score 60–70 vs. 100
Page Load Time 5–8s vs. ~1.4s
Keywords Ranking 0–10 vs. 100+

"I was invisible on Google for 15 years. Jerod fixed that in three weeks. I quit HomeAdvisor completely and I'm booked year-round now."

— Roland, SS Drywall Repair · New Braunfels, TX

Not a template.
Not WordPress. Built by hand.

Every site I build is written in plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No page builder, no bloated plugin stack, no themes. Just clean, fast code built specifically for your business.

01

Built by hand, not dragged and dropped

Every line of code is written specifically for your site. No WordPress, no Wix, no Squarespace. That means it loads fast, looks sharp on every device, and doesn't have the bloat that kills performance scores.

02

Built to show up on Google, not just look good

Every page is structured the way Google needs to understand your business — what you do, where you do it, and why you're the right call. Schema markup, service area pages, local SEO signals throughout. 100/100 SEO on Lighthouse, every time.

Managed for 6 months, not just launched and left

Going live is just the start. The first 6 months I'm watching what's ranking, adjusting what isn't, and responding to what Google's data is showing. Most people launch a site and walk away. That's why most sites don't do anything.

Almost no time from you.

01

We talk for 15 minutes

I ask about your business, your customers, and what you want the phone to do. You don't need to know anything about websites. Just talk about your trade.

02

I build it. You review it.

I build the site and send it to you to review. Usually takes about a week. You tell me what to change. We go live when you're happy with it.

03

It goes live and starts indexing

Once live, Google starts finding it. I'm watching the data, managing your Google Business Profile, and adjusting based on what's showing up.

04

Your phone starts ringing

Most clients see their name showing up on Google within 60–90 days. Calls follow. Roland had his first rankings in 3 weeks. Your results depend on your market.

One package.
Everything included.

The website build and Google management are one package because they work better together. The site gives you something to rank. The Google profile gets you in front of people searching right now. Both, managed together, is what gets results.

You pay $550/month for 6 months — that covers the build, the launch, and the first 6 months of active management while the site finds its footing. After month 6, it drops to $350/mo. No long-term commitment after that.

Think of the 6 months like hiring someone to build and install something: you wouldn't cancel halfway through the job and expect it to work. Six months is what it takes to do this right.

Why 6 months? Why can't I just pay once for the build? +
Building the site is maybe a third of the work. The other two-thirds is watching what happens after it goes live — what's ranking, what's not, what Google needs to see more of — and adjusting based on that. A site launched and left alone usually doesn't do much. Six months of active management is what gets it actually working. After that, $350/mo keeps everything maintained. You can walk away with the site any time — it's yours.
What if I already have a website? +
If it's fast, looks professional, and was built recently, you might just need Google Business Profile management at $350/mo. I'll look at your current site with you on a quick call and give you an honest read. If it's doing its job, I'll say so. If it's costing you calls, I'll show you why.
Why not just use Wix or Squarespace? +
You can, but you'll pay for it in performance. Page builders add bloat that slows down load times, which hurts your ranking. A Wix site typically scores 40–60/100 on Google's speed test. Hand-coded sites built the way I build them consistently score 85–90+. That difference shows up in how you rank.
How long until my phone starts ringing? +
Most clients start seeing their site show up on Google within 60–90 days. Some faster — Roland had his first rankings in 3 weeks. It depends on how competitive your market is, how well your Google Business Profile was set up, and how much work needed to be done upfront. I'll give you a realistic timeline after I look at your specific situation.
What happens to the site if I stop after 6 months? +
The site is yours. You get all the files, full ownership, everything. It stays live wherever it's hosted. Most clients stay on at $350/mo because someone needs to keep the Google profile active and respond to reviews — but there's no obligation. If you walk away, you walk away with a real asset.
I've been burned by an SEO company before. How is this different? +
I'm one person. You have my number and you talk to me directly — not an account manager, not someone who inherited your file. I build the site, I manage the Google profile, I write the monthly report. There's no hand-off, no contract to get out of, and you own the website whether you stay or go. If something's not working I'll tell you before you ask. More about how I work →

Your website is only
half the equation.
The other half is Google Maps.

If your website is solid but your Google Business Profile is sitting idle — incomplete, photos old, reviews unanswered — you're still invisible to people searching right now. The Maps listing is what gets you calls before anyone even visits your site.

I manage Google Business Profiles for contractors who already have a good website. Everything kept active, reviews responded to, rankings moving in the right direction.

  • Google Business Profile managed every month — never left idle
  • Every review responded to, good and bad
  • Regular posts and photos so Google knows you're active
  • Monthly report on how you're showing up
